Cardinals Crush Cueto, Top Reds 7-2



Rick Ankiel went 3-for-5 with two RBI as the Cardinals scored seven times in the first two innings and beat the Reds 7-2 at Busch Stadium. Troy Glaus added two hits and three RBI for St. Louis, which has won three of its last four games. Skip Schumaker went 4-for-5 and scored twice for the Redbirds. Joel Piniero pitched seven shutout innings for his second win. Johnny Cueto was tagged for eight hits and seven runs in an inning-and-two-thirds to fall to 1-and-3 with the loss. Adam Dunn slugged a two-run homer in the ninth for Cincinnati in defeat.
