Cubs Sweep Pirates with 7-3 Win

The Cubs used a five-run sixth inning for a 7-3 win over the Pirates last night and a sweep of the three-game series at PNC Park. Geovany Soto had a strong night at the plate, going 4-for-5 with a pair of RBI including his second home run of the season. Mike Fontenot also went deep and Alfonso Soriano added a pair of hits. Jon Lieber pitched four and one-third shutout relief innings to pick up the win. Starter Rich Hill was lifted after three frames, having given up three earned runs on three hits. The Cubs travel to play the Phillies this evening.
