Four-Run Ninth Lifts Phillies Over Astros

Pedro Feliz doubled in the winning run in a four-run ninth inning as the Phillies rallied to beat the Astros 4-3 in the first of a three-game set at Citizens Bank Park. Chris Snelling led off the ninth with a pinch-hit solo homer and Pat Burrell tied the game with a two-run blast. Jose Valverde allowed all four runs in the frame to blow his second save and take the loss. Rudy Seanez tossed a scoreless inning of relief to pick up his first win for Philadelphia, which has won three-of-four to even its record at 7-and-7. Lance Berkman had two hits and scored twice, and Miguel Tejada, Geoff Blum and Hunter Pence each plated a run in defeat. Valverde's meltdown spoiled eight innings of four-hit, shutout ball by Shawn Chacon.
