Angels Nip Blue Jays Again

Vladimir Guerrero hit a solo homer in the first inning and a three-run shot in the third as the Angels edged the Blue Jays 4-3 in the middle test of a three-game set at Rogers Centre. Jon Garland got the win for the Angels, who won their third straight game despite managing only four hits. Garland yielded three runs on eight hits over six innings to improve to 5-and-3 with the win. Francisco Rodriguez closed things out to notch his MLB-leading 19th save. Shaun Marcum struck out seven over six-and-two-thirds innings, but allowed all four runs to fall to 4-and-3 with the loss. The Jays have dropped two in-a-row.
