Astros Pull Away Late To Beat Giants



Miguel Tejada singled in the go-ahead run in the seventh and Brad Ausmus added a two-run homer in the ninth as the Astros downed the Giants 6-3 at AT&T Park. Tejada also had a run-scoring single in the first and Lance Berkman followed with his 14th home run of the year to stake Houston to an early 3-0 lead. Aaron Rowand hit a two-run homer in a three-run second to get San Francisco even. Oscar Villarreal got the final out of the sixth to get credit for the win and Jose Valverde pitched the ninth for his 10th save. Jack Taschner was charged with the go-ahead run in the seventh to take the loss for San Fran.
