Cust's Big Night Helps A's to 15-8 Win over Angels



Jack Cust was 4-for-4 with a homer, two walks and three runs scored as the Athletics pounded the Angels 15-8 to earn a split of their four-game set at Angel Stadium. Emil Brown also had four hits for the A's, who pounded out a season-high 20 hits and had five different players finish with two RBI. Justin Duchscherer improved to 2-and-1 with the win. Erick Aybar launched a three-run shot, and Mike Napoli hit a solo homer and drove in two for the Halos. Nick Adenhart was lit up in his major league debut, allowing five runs on three hits and five walks in two-plus frames for LA. Dustin Moseley was charged with five runs in two innings of relief to absorb the loss. Both teams are 18-and-12 on the season.
