Pirates Rally Past Cards

Jason Bay smacked a pinch-hit, go-ahead, three-run homer in the eighth inning as the Pirates rallied past the Cardinals, 11-5, in the rubber match of a three-game set at Busch Stadium. Raul Chavez hit an RBI-double and Freddy Sanchez added a two-run single in the ninth. Nate McLouth clubbed his 11th homer of the season and Jason Michaels plated two runs for Pittsburgh, which has won eight of its last 10 games. Jason Grabow was credited with the win after recording the final two outs in the seventh. Chris Duncan doubled home a pair of runs and Troy Glaus had three hits and an RBI for the Cards, who have dropped four-of-five. Jason Isringhausen gave up four runs, three earned, while recording just one out in the eighth to absorb his sixth blown save and fifth loss.
