Twins Triumph Over Royals In 12



Michael Cuddyer singled in the go-ahead run in the top of the 12th inning to lift the Twins to a 4-3 triumph over the Royals at Kauffman Stadium. Cuddyer finished 3-for-6 with two RBI for Minnesota, which has won three of its last four games. Alexi Casilla also went 3-for-6 with an RBI and Justin Morneau had three hits and scored a run for the Twins. Jesse Crain got the win and Matt Guerrier the save. Leo Nunez took the loss for Kansas City, which suffered its ninth straight setback. Mark Teahen hit a three-run, inside-the-park homer in the bottom of the ninth to tie the game for the Royals.
