Brewers Blow Lead, Beat Cards In Extras

After blowing a one-run lead in the ninth, the Brewers scored three times in the top of the 10th to beat the Cardinals 6-3 at Busch Stadium. Bill Hall's leadoff homer in the 10th put Milwaukee on top for good as the Brew Crew took the opener of the four-game set. Salomon Torres blew the save, but pitched a scoreless 10th to get the win. Rickie Weeks had a three-run homer and an RBI single for the Brewers. Skip Schumaker tied the game with a sac-fly in the ninth, but St. Louis still saw its four-game winning streak come to an end. Ryan Franklin was saddled with the loss. Troy Glaus had a two-run double in defeat.
