Galarraga, Tigers Sweep Royals



Armando Galarraga took a perfect game into the seventh inning as the Tigers completed a three-game sweep of the Royals with a 7-1 win at Kauffman Stadium. Galarraga struck out seven and walked only one over seven strong innings to improve to 8-and-4 on the season. Magglio Ordonez had three hits and two RBI for Detroit, which outscored Kansas City 33-6 in the series. Miguel Cabrera knocked in three runs, while Curtis Granderson, Placido Polanco and Carlos Guillen scored two runs apiece in the victory. Jose Guillen plated Kansas City's lone run with a single in the seventh. Zack Greinke surrendered five runs over six frames to fall to 7-and-7 with the loss.
