Rangers Clip Yanks

Josh Hamilton plated his major league-leading 80th run of the season to help the Rangers clip the Yankees 2-1 in the Bronx. Chris Davis drove in the other run for Texas, which has won two straight and the first of a three-game set at Yankee Stadium. Scott Feldman tossed five-and-two-thirds innings of one-run ball to improve to 2-and-3 on the year. C.J. Wilson closed it out with a perfect ninth for his 18th save. Alex Rodriguez blasted a bomb that traveled an estimated 460 feet in the fourth inning for New York's lone run. A-Rod's 534th career homer tied him for 14th all-time with Jimmie Foxx. Mike Mussina gave up two runs in six innings to suffer the loss and fall to 10-and-6. The Bronx Bombers have dropped back-to-back games.
