White Sox Outlast Royals In 13

Nick Masset induced a double-play ground ball with the bases loaded in the bottom of the 13th as the White Sox edged the Royals 8-7 at Kauffman Stadium. Orlando Cabrera doubled in Alexei Ramirez in the top half of the 13th to give the White Sox the lead. Masset got the win, while Ramirez had four hits and scored twice for the Pale Hose, who have won three in-a-row. After the Sox scored two runs in the top of the 11th, Mike Aviles and Alex Gordon each plated a run in the bottom of the frame to keep the game alive. Aviles finished with four hits and two RBI in the setback. Robinson Tejeda absorbed the loss for the Royals, who have dropped four-of-five.
