It Was All My Fault Says Zambrano

Chicago Cubs Pitcher and Light Heavy Weight boxer in training, Carlos Zambrano took full responsibility for the fight that took place between catcher Michael Barrett and himself on Friday. The incident occurred during a loss to the Atlanta Braves. Zambrano on Saturday said that the brawl was ll his fault and he feels bad for that.

Barrett who was hospitalized after being punched out by the Chicago starter, and ended up with a bruise under his eye as well as a busted lip said that Zambrano has no reason to apologize. He said that part of the reason behind the fight was they were as close as brothers. He compared to a sibling rivalry.

Cubs manager Lou Pinella who fined both players an undisclosed amount, but issued no suspensions, is glad to hear about the reconciliation. He said that the most important thing was that there would be no carryover from the incident.
