Pedro Progressing

New York Mets pitcher Pedro Martinez, who has been on the disabled list all season is starting to make some progress in his comeback. Martinez who is recovering from off season rotator cuff surgery, threw off the mound on Tuesday for the first time since the operation. Martinez who threw 31 pitches felt no discomfort in the effort. This step is a major part of the recovery process after having this procedure.Martinez said he was very pleased after the exercise, he plans to throw again Friday.
