Junior Gets Hit Number 2500

Cincinnati Reds outfielder Ken Griffey Jr. passed another career milestone on Wednesday one that will help pave the way to an eventual enshrinement in Cooperstown. Junior got career hit number 2500 against the Atlanta Braves as he hit a single in the Cincinnati win over Atlanta 5-4 in 15 innings. Junior who assumed sixth place last week in the all time MLB career home run list is the 84th player to reach 2500 hits in the Majors.
