Meet The New Boss, Same As The Old Boss LaRussa Back With Cardinals

Well Monday took two commodities off the table with a single move. There were said to be many MLB teams looking into a possible hiring of Free Agent manager Tony LaRussa who was said to be contemplating leaving the ST. Louis Cardinals who had been the club's manager. And Consequently there was quite a lot of interest in the Cardinals manager position if it was to be available. Well you kiss both those scenarios goodbye as Tony Larussa and the Cardinals held a press conference announcing a new two year deal. LaRussa will now be the manager of the Red Birds at least until the end of the 2009 season. LaRussa said he was very happy that things had worked the way they did. He also said he had absolutely no contact with any other club.
