Ichiro Rocks Rocket M's Spank Yankees 7-1

Yankees fans had visions back in May when Roger Clemens originally announced he was coming back to pitch once again for New York, of the Roger of yore who would charge onto the mound and lead the team to a World Series Championship. Well if New York does make the postseason, and eventually the World Series, it certainly will not because of the dominance of Clemens. The Rocket fell to a pedestrian 6-6 Monday, as Ichiro Suzuki and the Seattle Mariners 7-1 going only four innings and giving up five runs. Seattle centerfielder Ichiro had three hits including a homer off Clemens in the third his sixth of the year. Ichiro also collected hit number 200, his seventh consecutive season reaching the mark. Felix Hernandez kept New York off balance all game as he went seven frames giving up one run on five hits. The 21 year old starter is now 11-7.
