Selig: I May Be There But I Won't Celebrate

In what may go down as one of the greatest lines of "Spin" since a certain Presidential Candidate said he smoked but didn't inhale, MLB Commissioner Bud Selig showed the firmness of a marshmallow when he addressed reporters on the Barry Bonds "Home Run Situation" Sunday. Selig told a group of reporters that he may be present for the long ball that pushes Bonds past Henry Aaron, but if he is there he will not take part in any on field celebration. Bonds and the Giants head to San Francisco to play a seven game homestand and Selig says he has no plans to follow the team. Selig saw all three Giants games this weekend as they played in Milwaukee. Bonds currently sits at 753 career home runs two behind Aaron. Selig is scheduled to be in Cooperstown this weekend for the Hall of Fame inductions of Cal Ripken and Tony Gwynn.
