Girardi Throws Orioles Curve; Won't Take The Job
The Baltimore Orioles are back at square one in their search for a manager after being turned down by Yankees broadcaster Joe Girardi Thursday. Girardi who was reportedly offered the job told the organization he had to pass it up for family considerations. Girardi was the 2006 National League Manager of the Year last season for the Florida Marlins but was fired at the end of the year by Marlins owner Jeffrey Loria. Reportedly a personality conflict led to the firing. Baltimore fired former manager Sam Perlozzo on Monday, after a lackluster start.
