Lofton Shines As Tribe Wallops Twins 10-4
He was in the two hole rather than his old leadoff spot, and playing left field instead of center, but other wise it was like the good old days for Kenny Lofton and the Cleveland Indians Friday night as they beat up on Minnesota 10-4. Lofton who was acquired earlier that day from the Texas Rangers for minor league catcher Max Ramirez received a warm ovation from the Jacobs Field crowd and then repaid them with a three hit night as well as a RBI. Indians starter Paul Byrd got the win giving him a 9-4 record for the season.
