A's Trade Bradley To Royals for Reliever
The Oakland Athletics traded disgruntled outfielder Milton Bradley on Friday to MLB's version of Siberia, the Kansas City Royals. In return the Athletics received Royals pitcher Leo Nunez a reliever with a 4.73 ERA. The A's had designated Bradley for assignment on Thursday, after some caustic comments said to a reporter were printed. The Royals, who have the second worst record in the American League will pay the remainder of Bradley's contract. Bradley has courted controversy his entire career being traded by Cleveland, and Los Angeles previously due to anger management issues. He will be playing for a hard nosed "Old School" manager Buddy Bell, it will be interesting to see the results.
