Angels Clinch West Beat Mariners 7-4


The Los Angeles Angels Sunday won their third American League West Division Championship in the last four seasons as they defeated the team that trailed them and challenged them for a good portion of the season the Seattle Mariners 7-4. Angels starter John Lackey saw his record grow to 18-9, as he went 7 innings allowing only 2 runs on 7 hits and striking out 7 as well. Los Angeles closer K-Rod Francisco Rodriguez got his 38th save. Former Angels starter Jeff Weaver took the loss for the M's, he went five and a third, giving up five runs on five hits. His record is now 7-13.
