Bo-Sox Beat A's 7-3 "Magic Number" 3

The Boston Red Sox are not taking anything for granted, but there is definitely a more comfortable feeling around Fenway park than there was a week ago. Boston beat the Oakland A's Tuesday night, and that combined with the New York Yankees loss to Tampa Bay gave the Red Sox a three game lead with just five games left play. Coincidentally Boston's "magic number" is also three. Things seem to be gelling perfectly right now for Boston, Kevin Youkalis was back after missing 7 games and the "Man-Ram" Boston favorite was back in the lineup Manny Ramirez . All that and Red Sox World Series hero Curt Schilling was just what the doctor ordered. Schilling went six frames allowing one run on six hits. . Offensively the big guy 's were Big Papi David Ortiz who hit home run number 23, J.D.Drew went 3-4 driving in a run and scoring one as well. Drew, Dustin Pedroia, and Mike Lowell all hit doubles for the Red Sox .
