Rockies Head To Post Season Padres Head Home Colorado Wins 9-8
Game 163 almost seemed to take as long as the whole month of September as it took 13 innings before a National League Wild Card winner was decided. And that 13th inning was like a roller coaster, with all the thrills and excitement the the National Pastime provides at it's best. And when the smoke cleared it was the team that had the last at bat the Colorado Rockies that came out victorious scoring three runs in the bottom of the frame to counter the two scored by the San Diego Padres in the top. Final score Colorado 9 San Diego 8 culminating an amazing string of wins pulled off by Colorado during the season's final weeks. Ramon Ortiz got the win for the Rockies the tenth pitcher used by the team in the game. Colorado will travel to Philadelphia to take on the National League East Champs the Phillies.
