Tribe Comes Through In Game Two Beat Yankees 2-1
The Cleveland Indians took a 2-0 lead over the New York Yankees, needing just one more victory to reach the A.L.C.S. as they defeated New York Friday night 2-1 in 11 innings. The Yankees took the first lead of the game at 1-0, as Melky Cabrera hit a third inning run home. But Yankees rookie phenom reliever Joba Chamberlain was bothered by an infestation of gnats, which caused him to blow his first MLB save. The game tied at one went into extra innings and Cleveland DH Travis "Pronk"Hafner came to the plate with the bags juiced and two out. He drove home Grady Sizemore with a RBI single, to give the Indians the victory. The two teams now travel to the Bronx as Roger Clemens tries to keep New York alive, Cleveland sends Jake Westbrook to the hill looking to close the series Sunday.
