Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox tied a record on Saturday, that he would rather have never gotten anywhere near. Cox was ejected during the Braves loss to the Detroit Tigers by a 2-1 margin, for the 141st time in his Major League career. The ejection tied former New York Giants manager Iron John McGraw's record for most ejections in a MLB career. He actually now has 14 more than McGraw did as a manger, McGraw was tossed 14 times as a player. Cox when interviewed a few weeks ago said he was embarrassed by all of the ejections, and it was not a mark that he would celebrate. However, many of his players said that the ejections were a testament to him as a manager who took care of his players. (C) Copyright thesackattack.com 2007
