Melt Down Cost Lo Duca Two Games

New York Mets catcher Paul Lo Duca was suspended and fined by MLB after going nuclear on MLB umpire Marvin Hudson Saturday during a game between the Mets and Oakland A's. Lo Duca was at-bat in the sixth, when Hudson called a pitch a strike putting Lo Duca in an 0-2 count. Lo Duca looking like a combination of Lou Pinella and Ralph Kramden, had a meltdown that probably made Earl Weaver jealous. Lo Duca was immediately ejected, and then had to be restrained by New York manager Willie Randolph. As Lo Duca left the field and headed to the dugout he proceeded to throw his helmet, his bat, and elbow protector towards first base. He then threw more equipment on the field from the dugout. Lo Duca has appealed the suspension and the fine.
